There will probably be a whole series of events taking place around the fair. Take part in the action. Invite your contacts for a drink or a meal in a local restaurant after the event. Hand out invitations to your potential prospects on your stand. You’ll be able to meet them in a relaxed atmosphere, which will help you build a more friendly relationship and build up your address book.
Visitors to a trade show may have travelled to the event and are staying in a hotel. Offer them an invitation for the evening – they’ll be delighted.
